World Food Day Celebration Oct 16, 2018

The World Food Day was celebrated in Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden on 16th October, 2018 in the School Morning Assembly. The purpose was to create an awareness among the students regarding the importance of food in human life and the need to eat healthy, hygiene safe food and avoid fast food. Rasmeet Kaur and Prabhleen Kaur of Std X delivered an informative speech. They stated that the theme for Food Day, 2018 was ‘Zero Hunger’. The anchors stressed upon the need to build a safer and more prosperous world for everyone. Following this an interesting Quiz was held. The response was enthusiastic and prizes were awarded to the winners by the Director, Dr (Mrs.) Surjeet Kohli. Many activities were conducted during zero period on the day like Healthy Tiffin for Std IV and V, Slogan Writing for Std VI and VII and Badge Preparation for Std VIII. The response was over-whelming. A documentary on ‘Zero Hunger’ was shown to Std IX and X which they watched with great interest.
