Red Cross Day at GTB 3rd Centenary Public School May 08, 2018

Red Cross Day was observed in Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi on 8th May, 2018 to commemorate the birthday of Henari Dunant, the founder of Red Cross Society and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Various activities were organized in the school for the students. Display Boards were decorated to highlight the significance of this day. A talk was given by Prabhjot Singh of IX – D during the morning assembly. He apprised the students about the formation, mission, emblem and activities of the Red Cross Society. A short skit was performed by the students of class X depicting the need for an importance of blood donation. Activities like drawing of the emblem of the Red Cross Society, storytelling, creating beautiful caps and badges for society volunteers, designing informative and educative pamphlets and coining catchy and appealing slogans, were organized for the students on this day. Students of standard XII sent SMS to people to donate blood. The students were encouraged to join the Red Cross Society and help it for its humanitarian commitment and community service.
