Baisakhi was celebrated on 13th April, 2018 with great zeal and enthusiasm in Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi. A special assembly was held to mark the occasion. The celebrations commenced with a soulful shabad ‘Sach Fateh Bulaiye Guru Ki, Jitiyo Rann Bhara’, composed by Bhai Gurdas Ji. This was rendered by the Divinity Choir. Students of class VII were made ‘Five Beloveds’ who acquainted the gathering about by the tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s life and teachings. Jaskaran Singh of Class VII and Prabhnoor Kaur of Class VI shared with the congregation the meaning and significance of the names ‘Singh’ and ‘Kaur’. Martial art, Gatka was performed on the stage to create awareness amongst the students about the Khalsa tradition to defend themselves and others. Gurneet Singh of Class IX delivered a brilliant performance in this martial art. Last but not the least, a lively and energetic bhangra was performed by the students of Class IX. They were dressed in Punjabi colourful outfits and finery to accompany. It was a remarkable, informative and enjoyable show indeed
