BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

11th Feb. is a very significant day in the history of our school. It was on this day in 1979 that our school, christened Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Puiblic School was established.

SRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR 3RD CENTENARY EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY(REGD.) was formed by a few distinguished selfless educationists & social workers in the late 1970s. They were inspired and enthused on the auspicious occasion of the celebrations of the Tri-centenary martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadurji by the devotees all over the world with great devotions and enthusiasm. The Society, then, raised a befitting memorial at C-Block, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi – 110015 as Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School in the sacred name of the great Guru so that this historic event may always be remembered by the future generations for all time to come.

Lt. S. Mahan Singh ji, our founder chairman, was the brain child behind the establishment of this institution. He was a philanthropist par excellence and the fruits of his forsightedness and futuristic vision we are reaping today. Lt. S . Nanak Singh ji chadha, our founder manager, was an eminent educationist in his lifetime. His prudence, motivation and guidance steered us clear of the numerous obstacles in our march toward success. Lt. S. The curriculum of the school is designed to strike a balance between academic and co-curricular activities. Its most salient features are activity based learning, innovations in teaching and judicious blend of new ideas and concepts with rich Indian culture.

The approach in the school is very different, It focuses on the holistic development of the child. Several activities are conducted throughout the year and the teachers facilitate positive skills through them. The school fosters love for environment and help the children to develop qualities to face the rigours of real life. The goal of the school is to create a child who is ‘happy, funfilled and excited in learning’. The teachers foster the spirit of self reliance and diligence. As a consequence of the innovative strategies, the children get rock solid foundation, great confidence and love for learning.

All religions are respected and doors are open to students of all communities. Humanism and ethics are the bases on which the edifice of the school is built. The school instils moral and ethical values among the students and enhances the feeling of universal brotherhood.

In the present scenario when indiscipline is rapidly increasing, the school stands out for its value based functioning and rewarding relationship between students & teachers. It is a school with a mission.

Stars in the eyes, feet on the earth

- We are determined, to prove our worth
