Remembrance Day was observed in Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi on 11th Feb, 2019. Rich tributes were paid to the three Founding Fathers of the School. Late S. Mahan Singh Ji, the Founder Chairman of the School, Late S. Jagat Singh Ji, the Founder Secretary and Late S. Nanak Singh Ji, the Founder Manager, brought this institution into existence 40 years ago where education would be a perfect blend of traditional values and modern outlook with a view to produce wholesome human beings. The Chairman of the School, S. Davinder Pal Singh Ji, was greeted by the Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Surjeet Kohli, with a potted sapling. The stage was aesthetically decorated. The fragrance of flowers and incense sticks pervaded the air. In the opening address, Prahlad and Jasleen Kaur acquainted the audience with the significance of the day. This was followed by a soulful shabad rendition by the Divinity Choir of the School to invoke the blessings of the almighty. Thereafter Harshvardhan Chauhan of VIII C threw light on the selfless zeal, boundless vigor and belief in strong ethical and human values of the Founding Fathers. Floral tributes were paid to these luminaries by the Chairman, Director and Officiating Principal. Principal Junior School, Registrar and representatives of the Administrative, Teaching and Support Staff, Members of the Students Council also joined them. Students of IIIrd – VIIIth presented the item ‘We Value Our Values’ showcasing the values we have inherited from our Founding Father. ‘Our School, Our Pride’ by the students of VIth – VIIIth provided a peep into the multifarious achievements made by 3rd Centenarians over the years. The members of the Students Council marched smartly towards the dias and saluted the stalwarts. The programme culminated with ‘Guru Ka Langar’, organized by the School. The staff and the students participated whole heartedly keeping alive the spirit of service, sharing and brotherhood.
